Quintessential Maine Experience

Dates back to the 1820s, originally serving as a rooming house for mariners, evolving from its maritime roots into a historic lodging near the Monhegan Boat Line and Marshall Point Lighthouse, with notable ownership changes over the years, including the Ellis and Camp families, and later purchased by Don Corsen and the Rivers brothers in 1977, preserving its quintessential Maine charm.

Early Beginnings (1820s — Early 20th Century)

The Ocean House Hotel is located in the heart of Port Clyde, Maine, offering guests an authentic coastal village experience. From our front door, you can walk to the local post office, waterfront restaurants, art galleries, the Monhegan Boat Line, and the iconic Marshall Point Lighthouse. Perfectly situated in this historic fishing village, the hotel provides both convenience and the timeless charm of Midcoast Maine.
